About the event
We are excited to welcome Guitarist and composer, KHABU DOUG YOUNG, to Bhakti Shakti Kirtan. He brings a deep and rich musical background and skill set that will mesh well with The Bhakti Shakti Band. We are also excited to welcome vocalist ELENA CAMERIN YOUNG! (yes, they are married!)
Khabu currently resides in Boulder CO after 20 years in New York City as an active musician and teaching artist . He has toured all over the world. Khabu teaches guitar, ukulele, and improvisation for all instruments. He has held numerous workshops and clinics throughout Europe and North America
Elena also lives in Boulder, Colorado, where she performs with many musicians and artists of the greater Denver area, teaches voice at the Naropa University, founded the "Nalanda Ensemble", started the monthly series for free improvisers "OH SNAP!" and served for 6 years on the board of Creative Music Works.
